CIZHUANG Drink Seven Peptide Sources and Non-Vegetarian Notes: Distinguish the Ingredient List and Nutrition Label Before Buying

Before buying, first distinguish between two tables: the ingredient list answers "what was added," while the nutrition label answers "how much per serving."

What is the difference between the ingredient list and the nutrition label of CIZHUANG drinks? The ingredient list sets out the raw materials used and shows which food ingredients the peptides and herbs come from; the nutrition label states the values per serving for energy, protein, fat, carbohydrates, sugar, sodium, and so on. The former is a formula inventory, while the latter is the basis for intake; the two cannot replace each other.

Seven peptide sources, mapped one by one to the ingredients

The peptide ingredients listed in the checked materials include: sea cucumber peptide, ejiao peptide, salmon hydrolyzed protein peptide, blood protein polypeptide (10 mg/bottle), fish maw oligopeptide, black-bone chicken peptide, and bird's nest peptide (500 μg/bottle).

"Peptide" refers to small fragments formed after protein is broken down. This only explains the composition of the raw materials and does not mean there is any specific effect after drinking.

Among the seven peptides, sea cucumber, salmon, fish maw, black-bone chicken, blood protein polypeptide, and ejiao peptide are all related to animal-derived ingredients, so the product contains animal-derived ingredients and is not vegetarian. People with a fish allergy should not use it.

The herbs and fruit juices in the ingredient list should also be looked at together

In addition to peptides, the ingredients also include red date extract (6000 mg/bottle), red ginseng extract (200 mg/bottle), American ginseng powder, ginseng powder, polygonatum concentrate, codonopsis powder (150 mg/bottle), reishi mushroom powder, poria powder, astragalus powder, lily powder, longan powder, concentrated goji juice, concentrated red pomegranate juice, as well as pyrroloquinoline quinone disodium salt (2 mg/bottle), heme iron, ferrous glycinate, sodium ferric EDTA, niacinamide, citric acid, and sucralose.

The ingredients contain red date extract, concentrated fruit juice, and the sweetener sucralose, so this is not a sugar-free claim. For sugar content and other nutrition values, please refer to the actual nutrition label.

Added amounts are not active ingredient amounts, nor are they nutritional iron content

The numbers in parentheses above are the raw material added amounts listed in the product materials, not active ingredient content or efficacy data, and they cannot be converted as nutritional iron content. To judge how much is actually ingested per bottle, you still need to look at the nutrition label on the retail package.

Product materials and added amounts are compiled from supplier materials; the actual retail label prevails.

Unsuitable groups and confirmation before purchase

Not suitable for infants and young children, pregnant women, breastfeeding women, children under 14 years old, and people with a fish allergy. If you are taking medication or have special dietary needs, please ask a healthcare professional before purchasing.

This is a food, not a medicine, and it cannot replace a balanced diet. There is no promise of improvement effects or a certain number of days to see results after drinking. If you continue to feel tired, unwell, or suspect iron deficiency, you should first seek professional evaluation rather than using food on your own to replace examination.

Drinking and storage: three steps are enough

  • Shake well: shake well before drinking, and drink after opening.
  • Timing: the product materials suggest drinking after meals; for the daily amount, please follow the actual sales package label.
  • Storage: place in a cool, dry place and avoid direct sunlight; the shelf life is 18 months, and for the expiry date please see the bottle.

The specification is 50 mL × 7 bottles/box, with 7 bottles per box and 50 mL per bottle.

Which scenarios are suitable, and which situations mean you should not buy yet

Scenarios suitable for treating it as one of your daily dietary choices: you have confirmed that you do not belong to an unsuitable group, you can accept animal-derived ingredients, and you are willing to arrange it according to the daily amount stated on the package.

Situations where it is recommended to choose another option or consult first: fish allergy, pregnancy or breastfeeding, under 14 years old, taking medication, or having special dietary needs. It is also not appropriate to buy it as an "iron supplement medicine" — it is a food, and that is where the boundary of the evidence lies.

Let caring for yourself become a small habit in life. The first step is not placing an order, but looking at the ingredient list and the nutrition label once each: one tells you what was added, and the other tells you how much per serving.
